But the documents you reference describe the job of a Fliegerverbindungoffizier as liaising with Heer HQs down to divisional level. But in the case of 8FJD at Winnekendonk, this was a Luftwaffe and not a Heer HQ. The FLIVO role was therefore redundant. Has anyone got info about this? Specifically, did Wadehn's chief of staff ring NSG 20 at Twente (perhaps by landline) and make the arrangements for the FW 190 to bomb 2 Lincoln's HQ?
