Hi.
The pilot's name is Günther (or Günter) Seraphim. He was probably not in EJG 1 per se, probably just still using the 4./Erg.J.G. West Erkännungsmarke when he was killed. Anyone got information on how he was killed? I have speculated that he was still a member of the Stab IV./JG 5 when he was killed on April 10th 1945, but he was killed in Germany, not in Norway. Maybe transferred shortly before or on leave?? I know that other parts of the unit transferred pilots to the Reichsverteidigung Regards, Andreas B

Ahhh... but I have seen the holy grail! And it is painted RLM 76 all over with a large Mickey Mouse on the side, there is a familiar pilot in front of it and it has an Erla Haube!
