Coillection Photos to share

The attached photos are some that I recently added to my small, but growing, collection. As a military aviator I always enjoy the photos that show the aircrew or ground crew with the aircraft. The first HS-126 photo looks like it has the marking 6(perhaps a G)A and the second has what I assume is the Werk nbr. of 126 4287 on the engine cover. If anyone has any details on these photos please let me know. If anyone needs scan copies for their research please let me know. Enjoy.

Re: Coillection Photos to share

Hi, Chuck...

The last photo with the Ju52 is interesting. The aircraft being photographed seems to carry the code 4V+?K. This Gruppe's parent code, 4V, was apparently allocated to KgrzbV9 from January 1941, its previous code having been '9P'. The unit was later redesignated as I.Gruppe/Transportgeschwader 3 from May 1943.

I initially thought that this photo was probably taken nearer to January 1941 than May 1943. However, the fuselage band could possibly suggest its use on the Eastern Front, pushing the time frame to summer 1941. It is really the 'early-war' positioning of the swastika across fin and rudder that's throwing me. Anyway, great photos and thanks for putting them on the forum for eveyone to see... .

Regards...

Paul

Paul,

Thanks for the info. The only info on the back of the photo is apparently where the photo was developed, Fuller-Worms. As time allows I'll try to post more photos.
