Air Sea Rescue

On 30/3/40 (?) a 2./906 Do 18 was sent out to look for Oblt Rudolf Quadt (6./KG 30) but was forced down and the (906) crew were later rescued by U-30.

Any help on the crew details, wnr or stkz. for the Do 18 and/or 6./KG 30 machine would be helpful.

Thanks in advance,

Adam

Re: Air Sea Rescue

I have no names oe details-crew were rescued hence no Verlustmeldung was submitted. It is possible to get names if someone has the KTB for U-30

Re: Air Sea Rescue

The plane was Do 18G W.Nr. 862 that made a forced landing in the North Sea in Pl.Qu. 3441 due to engine problems on 28.03.40. As stated, the crew was rescued by U-30. Unfortunately, no names are mentioned
