Re: Oblt Kurt Dahlmann III/KG 30

Dahlmann's staffel is assumed to be 9/KG 30 as the witnesses of his attacks came from that Staffel. His citation lists attacks on 31 Aug 40, 13 Oct 40, 23 Nov 40, 27 Jan 41, 30 Jan 41 and 4 Feb 41 before he heads off to the Med. If you want more, you will probably have to wait for my next book to be published later this year

The Luftwaffe's Blitz will cover the period Nov 40-May 41 along the lines of my 2 Battle of Britain books. Crecy will be publishing this as well

Re: Oblt Kurt Dahlmann III/KG 30

For those interested, Dahlmann was with 9/KG 30 and at the end of Jan 41 still Leutnant in rank whilst St Kaps for 7 & 8/KG 30 mid-41 were Oblt Heinz-Hugo Schlockermann & Hptm Gerhard Metzenthin

Re: Oblt Kurt Dahlmann III/KG 30

Chris,

i have for Staffel 8, St.Kpt. Hptm. Hajo Hermann in April and Mai 1941. Did Oblt. Schlockermann replace him and when exactly?

for Staffel 8, St.Kpt. Hptm. Alfred Neumann (+) 19.04.41 and replaced by Oblt. Helmut Weinrich. When exactly Hptm. Metzenthin took over?

Do you know the St.Kpt. of Staffel 9 during the greek campaign?

I am interested on your new book, please let me know when ready

Re: Oblt Kurt Dahlmann III/KG 30

Byron: Going off piste here a bit but:

Hptm Erich Bloedorn to 19 May 40, Hptm Heinz Rabe to 26 May 40, Herrmann was 7 Staffel, injured 18 Oct and Podbielski took command until 27 Oct

8 was Hptm Walter Storp to 3 Jun 40, then Oblt Peter Gruner to 16 Jun 40, then Oblt Rudolt Meissner to 26 Aug 40, Hptm Waldemar von Glasow to 12 Oct 40, Oblt Dietrich Marwitz to 27 Oct 40 then (probably) Neumann then probably Metzenthin

9 was Hptm Martin Schumann to 24 May 40, Hptm Kurt Rohloff until 8 Jul, then Podbielski until 28 Jul, Oblt Hans Geissler until 1 Aug 40(?), then Oblt Friedrich Rinck until 27 Jan 41

I was in touch with a crewman from 8/KG 30 from Jun-Nov 41 who said that his St Kap was Metzenthin, Weinreich was one of the pilots in 7/KG 30 (who I have became St Kap 7/KG 30 late 41-42)
