Re: eBAy: Captured german planes

Hi Gents,

Most of these pictures featuring Gis have been taken at Cannes!
...
This said, the machines can very well be have been taken at St Raphael, Le Luc and/or Cuers-Pierrefeu.

Thanks Rudi.
Regards,
Franck.

Field Intelligence reports suggest otherwise, unfortunately:

At Cuers-Pierrefeu "the only aircraft found was one Fw 190 A-4". Pictures of that one are known and the ones here aren't it.

At Le Luc there was only a Caproni Ca 313 and a lot of abandoned equipment.

No report for St. Raphael.

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes

Hi,
You're certainly right Nick.
368TH FIGHTER GROUP wasn't active in Southern France it seems.
Those guys just did pay a visit down there, most probably.
Regards,
Franck.

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes

Hello again Rudi,
I believe the He 111 illustrated first in Post #1294, is He 111 H (WNr. uncertain) 5J+FL (F=yellow) and was photographed at Brunnthal.
Respectfully,
Steve Sheflin

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes

Hi there RudiS,

Given the tail to be seen, the third plane you caught on eBay was a Do 217.

Cheers
Marc
