Lastly Mike (Revi16) if the MACR's are now online can you provide the link

Once again thanks

Larry
The MACR does not mention the word "collision". It looks like they shot each other down.

No link, you will need to join Footnote to have access to the MACR's.

IMO, $70 bucks a year is a pretty good deal provided Footnote® keeps adding aggressively to their offerings. But for those who need to refer to the MACRs on a daily or near-daily basis, I guess it's a value over the short and intermediate term out to 3 years or so. For long-term users, however, maybe it would be more cost effective to buy the MACR microfiche.

Correction for Collision read shot down.

As for Uffz Walter Demmig of 4/JG5 can anyone say at what time he was KIA SW of Paris?

Could he have attacked some four engined 8th Air Force bombers before coming across the 510th FS afterwards - presuming the 8th AF was in the area?

I suppose another question could be - were there any 8th Air Force heavies attacking targets near Paris or returning that way?

I seem to think the 8th was doing a shuttle raid that day with a landing in Russia.
