Hello Remi,

unfortunately not and JG 26 ... I don't believe it because at this time the JG 26 used Fw 190 IMHO.

Best wishes

Re: Bf109 crash Rockanje, Holland 02-08-1943

You are obviously right, I thought to JG26 because the unit lost a lot of planes that day over Holland, the III.Gr. using the 109, lost also 1 plane, near Cleve, II.JG2 seems to hv lost just one plane

4 JG2 F Scheldemündung /Woensdrecht start aus ? A LFK B17 n, erste angriff wird v, P47 verjagdt BF109G-6 15282 We11 100 x Brose willi ofw 68420/200-f-240921-Neumartinshagen krs Schlawe

Is a more accurate place known for that one ??

Hummelo is the place I've found on the SGLO website too. Is this place sure - for example by an excavation? I ask because regarding KTB Gilze-Rijen Brose was lost by Valburg roundabout 40 km west from Hummelo (unfortunately I wasn't able to read the name so good but I'd guess it was Valburg).

On this day I'd guess II./ JG 2 lost one machine more because Brose and "Pormann" were mentioned seperate.

Best wishes

Hello Remi,

the KTB Gilze - Rijen mentioned the crash and the Lt. "Pormann". This name is my personal interpretation because I was unable to read the name for sure (like I wrote the hand writing was bad). The KTB mentioned that he was light injured not KIA or MIA.

Best wishes
