Thanks Marcel. I have just had a look on Google earth. I would certainly agree that there do not appear to be low-lying hills in the region of Schleißheim airfield. However at several points surrounding Bermaringen there are river valleys which are bordered by low-lying hills. Links from Google map show a number of photos around Bermaringen which show these hills. I have attached one photo of Bermaringen with the hills on the horizon. Another photo of a flying model aircraft display suggests that the former airfield, and perhaps the location of the crashed Bf110 was in the area of the wind-turbines, and therefore in front of the hills. For comparison I have attached the eBay photo.
