Interesing link from RSwank - thank you! I did not know about B-26 Marauder's over Austria.
The parts were found in the far east of Austria, south of Vienna - so the VVS was a factor and we definitely cannot rule out the crash of an aircraft from their air fleet. IF it is no B-26 and no P-47 we still have the B-25 - which were used by the VVS - right? |

Yes. Soviet 18 VA, 238 GvBAP lost a B-25 over Eastern Austria at the end of March, 1945.
