That is great information thank you, Horsted Keynes is only 42 miles from Tenterden so with the height they might have been dog fighting at that is a very good chance the Sgt Cook might well be the pilot that shot Alfred down, can I ask were you got this information from?

I now got to find out about Sgt Cook from 66 Sqn, any additional info about him would be greatly appreciated.

All I would say is possible in respect of this combat. Details are from RAF Fighter Command Victory Claims Volume 1.
I have found that the book is wrong-it was not C A Cooke but 126096 Sgt Harry Cook. His biography can be found in 'Men of the Battle of Britain'
