Re: Heinkel 111J with 4-blade propellers

Hi Stig

The meeting in Budapest was attended by 17 D- registered a/c, 2 x Bf 108, 4 x KL 32, 1 x KL31, 3 x L 25, 4 x KL 35, 1 x Fw 44, 1 Bu 131, and 1 x He 72. All registrations are given.

I have found D-ARKO He 111 noted in an Intelligence doc at the PRO, no sub type given.

Regardfs

Tony

Re: Heinkel 111J with 4-blade propellers

Thanks Tony

That fact rules out any four-blade He 111 F to have attended

Any further info of your elusive D-ARKO would indeed be interesting

Cheers
Stig

I found a note in effect that He 111, D-AXAV, of Rowehl's Wetterfunk Empfangstelle zur besonderen V, was seen at Budapest in early September 1938.

Re: Heinkel 111J with 4-blade propellers

Denes,

that could not be true because D-AXAV was a civil DLH aircraft, which became 100% destroyed in a crash on 12.11.37.

Sorry then, that's what is mentioned in an otherwise reliable (secondary) source.
