1-6-44 LZ517 of 603 Squadron missing from attack on Convoy 30m N of Crete. Ref: Air Brit LA100-LZ999. NE293 of 252 Squadron Shot down by flak 25m N of Candia, Crete. Ref: Air Brit NA100-NZ999. Not in list NE367 of 603 Squadron damaged by flak ditched 60m S of Crete 13-9-44. Still searching Alex

You probably have these already. All X's LZ517 - 603 - Missing from attack on Convoy 30m N of Crete - 1/6/44. NE293 - 252 - S/D by flak 25m N of Candia, Crete - 1/6/44. NE367 - 603 - Flak, ditched 60m S of Crete - 13/9/44. Alex

Might not be much of a lead but I read in an Aeroplane monthly that 252 Sqn some time in '44 did an attack in Sitia harbour - with no loss. While this doesn't say anything it still indicates that they'd come back. Since they knew the area already. Perhaps they came back to finish off what they started. I'll look up the date if I find it.
