On 5 June 1944 in the early afternoon, B-17 42-31817 from the 463rd BG was shot down by flak over Vado, Italy. They were attacking the Vado viaduct ( RR bridge).

I am working with an Italian researcher investigating this crash. 6 men in the crew were killed, 2 were captured and 3 evaded. We have the MACR 5843, an E&E report for one of the men and post war statements by all 3 evaders. (The MACR gives an incorrect crash location.)
Would there be any Luftwaffe records for the flak unit that was credited with shooting down the plane? Would those records describe the attack and the shoot down and give information as to the exact location of the crash? We know the plane came down within about a mile or so of the Vado bridge. Statements by the evaders are somewhat inconsistent as to the exact crash location.
