Schmauz was not a pilot & I have not heard from his Granddaughter as to his health or wellbeing. I am fairly sure that Leykauf, Dinkel & Ille are no longer with us. Surely this post should be in the Luftwaffe section not Obituary?

Peter Spoden is very much alive. Just this week I got Christmas greetings from him.

Our dear Sighart passed several years ago, as did Werner Molge, both representative fellows of our diminishing JG27/26 veterans association. Even now some of our widows are also of advanced age and missing from our reunions.
Manfred Leisebein also gone, translated for he and wife at a reunion years ago, first met after the reunification, with Victor Peterman, his friend. What stories I added to near 50 years worth.
Very decent fellows, sorely missed!
