Luftwaffe pilots missing or killed on Sep 13, 1944
I am writing a story about the recovery of a crew from a B-17 lost on September 13, 1944 on a mission to Merseburg, Germany. This crew had one survivor (parachuted out just prior to crash) and only one of the dead was moved to the American military cemetery in Margraten, Holland. The other seven were MIA until 2008. I have been finding info about the other seven B-17s lost on this mission.
Does anyone have a listing or source for Luftwaffe pilots missing or killed on Sep 13? Were any of the missing found years after the war? Thanks,
