Unknown B-17
This B-17 crashed in the southern part of the Netherlands in the fall of 1944. There is nothing known about the fate of the crew and the date of the crash! There are rumours that the crew baled out to safety over friendly territory.
This photo was taken in the spring of 1945. In my opinion the fuselage is upside down and some parts of the squadron-code are visible within the red circle. Is anyone on this board capable to reconstruct the code with the aid of these fragments. Tia, paul
