Hello
On the night of 3/4 October 1943 this pilot of 9./NJG 1 was shot down by return fire from a RAF bomber and forced to bale out wounded over Bohmte near Wittlage in Westfalen. He had earlier claimed his second victory that evening. I have read that the aircraft he was flying was Bf 110 G-4 (W.Nr. 5359) but it appears there is some confusion regarding this. Could anyone attempt to confirm that this was the machine and furthermore could add the name of the Bordfunker and/or Bordschütze and if he too was wounded and/or baled out? Any information will be much appreciated. Horrido! Leo
