crew of DO17 Z U5+GL of 3/KG2 crashed on 4 dec 1940
Good morning
I look for the names of the crew of this Do17Z2 4192 which crashed on 4 Dec 1940 at 20H15 near Maubeuge/Quevelon. The aircraft suffered engine problems, the crew bailed out, (1 injured) and the aircraft crashed on its own. Any complimentary information (particularly on the crew) would be welcome; A big thanks in advance; GC |

Re: crew of DO17 Z U5+GL of 3/KG2 crashed on 4 dec 1940
thanks Matti and Chris.
To make the link, the map I showed in this link http://forum.12oclockhigh.net/showthread.php?t=40452 Came from this aircraft, it was found on the site after the crash, and this map was kept 74 years by a local inhabitant. So, yes, it is strange in fact that it is written in English, on a German map. and BTW the crash site has been located.. Rgds to all; GC |

I have the code as 'U5+CL'. Which is correct?

Thanks for the confirmation Gilles. I've certainly made my own share of typos in my own db, and thought this might be another one. (As anyone whose tried wading through the Gen.Qu. stuff knows, some of that stuff is very difficult to read!)
