Photos of Ju87R A5+DK of 2./StG1 2.6.40 in Norway

Hello,

I'm trying to code for a data base two photos of a Ju87R of 2./StG1 that crash-landed on a wooded slope, reputedly on 2.6.40 at Beisfjord, near Fagerness Norway, after being shot down in an air battle with Hurricanes of 45 Squadron RAF. About three years ago in a TOCH Luftwaffe post someone indicated that both crewmen of this aircraft survived, were captured by Polish troops, and were executed. Does anyone know the details of what happened to this crew? I don't want this post to get into a polemic about murdering Luftwaffe airmen, I only want the facts of the event, as accurately as the they are known. If you have info on this incident, please cite your sources. Are there a number of photos of this incident out there?

Thanx,

Steve,

Thank for the weblink. I was aware of this, and have a copy of the b&w photo of the plane crash-landed. However, I'm trying to obtain the details behind the capture of the crew and their execution. This is the only source that I know of for this information, and I want to explore the events regarding this a/c and crew in more detail.

Thanx,
