Yellow markings on fighters LF 2 and 3 august 1940
Order from Luftflotte 2 and 3 on how fighters were to be marked with yellow stripes!!!

As an 8 year old all I can remember is that the Me109s became known to us us "yellow bellies".

Great information, Junker. Just in time for inclusion in my book (with source of course)! Explains a few photos from II./JG 77 I've been puzzled by!
