hello,
i am looking for the info on the 3 following airmen,
why crashed,when,area(belgium),stationed

1)CUBBA LOUIS J. 36526010
386 BG M
2)PARKINGS ROBERT E 0-557101
78 FTR GROUP(what means FTR)

3)SCHMELLER THOMAS .R 35912694
384 BG H
We would appreciate any info.the last trace came from french part of Belgium on a former after war- time cemetery1947

Cubba wasn't killed in a crash but was critically injured and died of his wounds. His aircraft made it back. Details of the mission and his death can be found at:

FTR could mean Failed To Return or perhaps FTR = Fighter Group.

hello HTH,
thanks for your reply,
the reason forwriting is that i have a friend (without internet access)who found some parachute buckles and other american pilot gear rests at a end war time cemetery(now its a field)and would like to have some more info on those 3 persons so i am trying to help him. i will ask him how he obtained those 3 names coz from that field he found over 100 dog tags and i am not shure if those 3 persons dt's were also found there.do you have any picture from that CUBBA?
