NA/Kew: AIR 20/923 Dutch and Danish squadrons in the R.A.F.
Would anyone be familiar with this record? Maybe one of our Dutch friends?
Scope and content: Dutch and Danish squadrons in the R.A.F. Covering dates: 1942 Dec.-1947 Jan. Availability: Open Document, Open Description, Normal Closure before FOI Act: 30 years Former reference (Department): ID/12/272 A8D Held by: The National Archives, Kew I am - as one might sucpect - most interested in this records' information on a Danish squadron. At first hand the extent of information on the Danish squadron. I know that it was a Danish wish in 1942-43 to establish a Danish unit/squadron. The Danish Legation recommended this to Foreign Office as well as the Air Ministry according to the memoires of the then legate, count Reventlow. But the number of pilots was too low and their training too varied. Mikkel Plannthin ![]()
