Foggia Airfield, 31 Oct 1943
A German (?) aircraft was hijacked on an internal Croatia flight from Sarajewo to Zagreb. The aircrew was Croatian; passengers were Croatian prisoners and one German Gestapo sergeant. Total on board, 10 people.
With this number of people on board it was probably a twin-engined aircraft. It arrived at Foggia airfield - then in British hands - on 31 Oct 1943. Pilot named as "Derren Sereko". Everyone on board taken prisoner. Anyone absolutely any information on this incident? |
