Map grid

Hello to all

Did someone know what kind of map grid is used for this kind of localisation ?
Most probably British!
I am looking for the following places

7F/4.124471
8F/3.691838

Many thanks in advance

Re: Map grid

Thanks Mikkel

I know this website, one of the most useful for who made research on the WWII but unfortunately I can’t found any similarity with the references I have

Re: Map grid

I believe it is a US map sheet:

sh. 7F/4 1943 Sheet 7F/4: St. Pierre-sur-Dives. 2nd ed. 1943.

http://gateway.uvic.ca/spcoll/Mil/Milmaps.html

I cannot find 8F/3 but the 8F series seem to cover the
Falaise area.

Re: Map grid

Many thanks , great information !!! the document I have on this event fit perfectly with Saint-Pierre-sur-Dives so 7F/4 is most probably the good reference

Regards
Phil
