Me109F-4 W.Nr. 8679 - Info Needed
Does anyone have any info on this aircraft?
I know it was Erla-built, but do not kno much more... Anyone help? Thanks!

Hi John,
I have one of the main data plates. not the one below the cockpit, but rather one that would have been installed inside fuselage, wings, etc. referenced P & R's F-K book, and the tag says, "ERLA"

Here's a look at the subject plate from W.Nr. 8679, plus two others. All may have come from the same Bf 109 F-4. Remaining traces of RLM 79 (sand-yellow/sand-brown) paint, suggest Mediterranean service; although, I do not believe this W.Nr. is a tropical variant. History?
