Info on Anson crashed on 29 Sept 1944

Good night to all!
I am looking for the serial number and codes of the Avro ANSON of 140 Squadron that crashed on the 29 or 30 September 1944, taking the life of W/C C F M Chapman as well as S/L Rowland, F/O Cooper and others. It crashed on high ground flying IMC.
Any data on the Anson would be welcomed
Many thanks
Adriano Baumgartner

Re: Info on Anson crashed on 29 Sept 1944

This old thread on RAFCommands suggests it is Anson NK607

http://www.rafcommands.com/cgi-bin/d...rum=DCForumID6

And there are other threads also:

http://www.rafcommands.com/cgi-bin/d...ic&archive=yes

And also here:

I hope this helps, I found these by searching for Chapman and Anson etc in google.

Re: Info on Anson crashed on 29 Sept 1944

Thanks Burke!
I had searched indeed on the RAF Forum, but I found only the names of the 5 airmen killed. Unfortunately I did not recorded the serial number of the old Anson.
Many thanks for your help and contribution!..and yes, I should have tried deeper!
Sorry!
Yours
Adriano
