Laurent Rizzotti will become famous soon enough
Deutsche Wochenschau 26 April 1944

You can find it at the following adress:

http://www.crashplace.de/download/in...bisAngriff.mpg

Some impressive images of German fighters attacking heavy bombers and flying through wreckage done by their own fire.

The B-24 landing on a German airfield in the second part is the 42-52106, whose story can be found at the following link:

Any idea of the identity of the German fighters shown on screen ? Especially the one with the wounded leg at the beginning ?

I've seen this one- isn't this one also the video that contains a brief speech by Oesau?

I'll take a look again and see if I recognize anyone else.

Yes, this is the one with Oesau's speech. He says that the new pilots from the schools are eager and well-trained. International Historic Films has all of the German newsreels on DVD. This segment is on Volume 13, Disk 1.

Volume 13...Sorry I had a chuckle at that, considering Oesau's personal flight number.

I'll look at it again now that i'm off work and see who I can recognize.

I wonder if IHF has Wings of the Luftwaffe too... hubby is looking for it.
