Turkish B-24s

As a specific board "neutral nations" has not been contemplated by Ruy , I post this here.

Is there a way to match Turkish tactical codes to US serial numbers as far as interned US aircraft (namely B-24s) are concerned?

Thanks in advance.

Chris

Re: Turkish B-24s

Good thing that Serbia was 500 years under Turkey occupation so I can use some Turkey term in search:

Maybe you can make some additional search and find more info

Cheers

P.S. search in Turkey is said Ara or Arama

Re: Turkish B-24s

Hello Srecko and CJE,

Thank you for the Links Srecko, they look great.

CJE, have you the Scramble Book on the Turkish A/F army and Navy a/c ? it has a great wealth of info on ALL Turkish a/c since 1912.

As for the TAF B24's.

Serials 4001 to 4005.
4001 = 41-11609 "Little Eva"
4002 = 41-11622 "Town Hall"
4003 = 41-11596 "Brooklyn Rambler"
4001 and 2 could be the other way around other matches unknown.

The other B24's were -
41-11597 "Blue Goose"
41-23754 "Little Lady"
41-24297 "Warmaid"
42-40267 "Horse Fly"
42-40544 "Hitler's Hearse"
42-40608 "The Urgin Virgin"
42-40744 "Heaven Can Wait"
42-40777 "Flossie Flirt"
41-24311 "Hadley's Harem" Ditched.

There may well have been more .

All the best
Alex

Srecko, I don't talk anymore to someone whose team is going to kick France out of the World Cup in South Africa.

More seriously, thanks to the two of you.
