![]() I have a short question concerning the unit emblem(s) worn by III./KG 4 during the BoB. Since that Gruppe was the only one of KG 4 to use the Ju 88 (ever) before being renamed III./KG 30 in mid-October 1940 I was wondering if it ever used the family crest of the Wever family on their aircraft. I know one photo of a crashlanded Ju 88 of 7./KG 4 with the bat and the half-moon and "Luftwaffenembleme 1939-45" also lists a dedicated Gruppenemblem, but I have never seen any other photos of III./KG 4 of that timeframe that shed any light on the actual application of an emblem.
Is there anything known in this regard? ![]() |
