Dornier Do17Z shot down Harlow 12/10/40

A friend of mine has just gifted me some very broken aircraft parts which he purchased at a car boot sale. Among them are parts labelled 'Do17Z shot down over Harlow 12/10/40 by anti-aircraft fire'. I just can't find any info on this aircraft such as their target, unit, crew and their fates.

Could anybody please help?

Many thanks

Chris

Re: Dornier Do17Z shot down Harlow 12/10/40

Hi Chris

On 11. Okt. 1940 (possibly in the night of 11/12. Okt. 1940) two Do 17 Z-3 / 2772 and 3475 from 1+2/KFGr.606 was lost over Great Britain.
The target for 1/KFGr.606 was Liverpool, the target for 2/KFGr.606 was Crewe.
All crew-members was MIA or KIA.

Thank you Brian and JoMe for your kind replies.

Hard one. The crash was certainly Harlow, now I have one with the right location but wrong date and two with the right date but wrong location!

Does anybody have any more on the the two KFGr.606 loses such as where they may have come down?

Cheers

Chris
