About Oberst Günther Von Lützow

Hello Dears,
I'm collecting anecdotes and photos about Oberst Günther Lützow (or Von Lützow), I know that he has crashed in a woodland near Donausworth on the 21 of April 1945 with a Me 262 from JV 44.
Did anyone know wich was this Schwalbe ?
She seem to have been armed with R4M rockets, but I will know the number and type of camouflage of this aircraft.

Hello Alain

Unfortunately it appears that the werknummer of this particular fighter is unknown as the pertinent records have been lost to history. I have always seen the date of his loss as 24 April 1945 and have read he quite possibly was shot down by Capt Jerry Mast and Lt William Myers of the 388th FS, 365th FG, USAAF.

Hi

By memory I seem to remember that he wasn't shot down, as I recall he dived into a squadron of B-26's shooting one down, but not being used to the 262 he couldn't arrest his descent and dove straight into the ground. Johannes Steinhoff stated that Lutzow had not flown combat for three years and was afraid!
