Ju 88 loss off Lowestoft on 14 May 1942
At 18:45 on 14 May 1942, S/L Haywood (http://surfcity.kund.dalnet.se/commonwealth_haywood.htm) and Sgt Mares (Czech) was involved in combat with a reportedly black-painted and unmarked Ju 88 10 miles off Lowestoft. They claimed it as a shared probably destroyed.
A quick check seems to indicate that this was Fighter Commands only claim this day. Is there anyone with info on which Luftwaffe unit this might have been and if they suffered any damaged/losses? Best wishes/Håkan
