Salut Franck,

Even withought hi res downloads, the detailed pictures of the Bf 109 G-6/AS being serviced are without known parallels so far... And what about the undercarriage retraction tests? Such scenes for this late war period were only known through Veltro's excellent book up to now ;-)))

Cheers
Marc

Oui oui oui,
I agree with you. Hence a pity...and what about that tail full of victories? Think the pilot is not a John Doe, is he? Any clue?
Cheers, Franck.

I believe the pilot is Otto Schulz, look at the size of the hole in the fuselage!

Hi GRM,
Oh, that one? I would say yes, but only one "Balken"? At what time? Any registration for that "accident"?
Thanks, Franck.

Yes, only one vertical bar. This is likely WNr.10140 (damaged 40% by Flak, Tmimi) 4.June 1942.

There's photo from Emmert's collection in Prien, Stemmer, Rodeike & Bock's _Die Jagdverbaende der Deutschen Luftwaffe 1934 bis 1945_, Teil 8/I, page 260, photo #258. There is an error in the caption, there's only one vertical bar aft of the Winkel. Oblt. Schulz stands aft of the hole.

There's a photo of the abandoned fuselage of page 144 of _Luftwaffe Colours, Volume 4, Section 2, Jagdwaffe - The Mediterranean 1942-1943_.
