Hptm Huchel

The Major beim Stab of I/ZG 76 was a Hptm A Huchel. He transferred with the unit to be part of I/NJG 1 and up to 22 Sep 43 was heading his letters L.24733. Does anyone know his fate or movements post-I/ZG 76

Re: Hptm Huchel

Hello Chris,

Hptm. Huchel was 'Einsatzleiter' (chief operations) with the II.NJG 1 in Leeuwarden, stayed in Leeuwarden with the II.NJG 2 (later IV.NJG 1) and survived the war. I remember faintly that he was mentioned in Jägerblatt and that I must have copies of those pages, because I have copied all the pages related to Nachtjagd affairs some years ago.

Have a bit patience and please send me a reminder if you get afraid that I have somehow forgotten to take a dive in my records.

All the best, Marcel Hogenhuis - Study Group Venlo Airfield in WW-2
