Two Ju88s on German/Soviet border 1941
Hi guys
Seeking details of Ju88s shot down by Soviet fighters, one in April 1941 and the other on 18 June 1941, in the border area. Any help appreciated. Cheers Brian |

Re: Two Ju88s on German/Soviet border 1941
Hi Brian,
Saw the other thread, mentioning possible Ju 88 losses over Soviet Terretory, and have already searched for "the suspect" Ju 88 missing in April 1941 but found nothing matching (in GQM losses). Might there have been case of mis-indentification? Try He 111´s. These were used for clandestine work over Soviet Terretory just before the war. At least one with blanked out markings landing in Finland. I have seen photo of it in a book but do not remember title. Only "suspect" for 18.06.41 is reference of Ju 88 A-5 G2+EH (0745) "damaged by ground fire" (this is not from GQM losses), rather from book about 1.(F)/124, saying it landed at Kirkenes (I do not have title). It might have involved F Ofw. Hans Tücher. Best regards ed |

Thanks Ed
Yes, obviously could have been He111s - fingers crossed that someone may come up with some suggestions. Cheers Brian |
