Günther Schulze-Blanck
Gentlemen,
I have before me a report from a former member of the Stabskompanie of II./JG 53 who states that Oblt. Günther Schulze-Blanck, Staffelkapitän of 4./JG 53, on September 9th, 1940, was shot down by a Bf 110 of ZG 26 - like he put it that the the not too terribly well liked Staffelkapitän was stung by a wasp. I have no information and no reason to substantiate this account - does anybody out there know more ? As usual, any help would be appreciated. Regards Jochen Prien
