Michael Schoeman: Springbok Fighter Victory, Volume 2
I received today a copy of Mike Schoeman's second volume of his series "Springbok Fighter Victory, SAAF Fighter Operations 1939-1945". This is titled Crisis Above the Desert, 1940-1942. It was published in 2009, by Freeworld Publications in South Africa, ISBN 978-0-9802797-2-6. A4 size paper, coated stock, 228 pages. It covers the period of April 1941 to the end of June 1942. Many photographs, all b&w. Bibliography. An appendix of SAAF claims and losses, many matched against Axis records. And two appdices of updates to Volume 1. Recommended.
Volume 1 on SAAF operations in East Africa is out of print. Reference is made to three further volumes in this series, without anticipated publication dates. I purchased my copy from the Air Britain website. Enjoy! Frank.

Frank, I went to the Air Britain web site, but could not find the listing for the book. Do you have a direct link?

John,
Here is the web page for the book: https://www.air-britain.co.uk/actboo..._Military.html In their Store Sections, it is Mostly Military, under Non-Air Britain Books. Enjoy! Frank.
