Brian Carbury (Kiwi ace of BoB)
What happened to him?
All I have been able to find is two lines in "Aces High" by Chris Shores : Details are unavailable, but it appears that he was required to resign his commission under a cloud during 1944. Thanks in advance. Chris |

Re: Brian Carbury (Kiwi ace of BoB)
Hi Chris,
'Carbury remained an instructor until dismissed from the service in 1944 following a court martial for bouncing cheques that had been written to cover his wife's opulent lifestyle.' He obviously chose the wrong 'No2'! See 'Spitfire Vs Bf 109: Battle of Britain' by Tony Holmes (preview at Books Google) Cheers, Bruce |

Hi Chris
Post war he was involved in ferrying aircraft in 1948 to Palestine for the Jews in their struggle. Cheers Brian |
