Re: plane crash by the City Walldorf near Heidelberg
A B-26 crashed just outside of Hockenheim on 23 Mar 45 around 11:35. The crew bailed out over Walldorf.
The MACR 14038 is for B-26 "Skipper", 42-95786 from 17th BG, 34th BS. At least 40 planes went down that day, so it will take a while to sort through and identify if any of them also went down in approximately the same place. (Am I reading your question correctly, that 2 or more planes went down at the same time and place?) |
