B17 shot down near Pieniężno in north of Poland

Hello. Please help in solving the two hypotheses, which will help to identify the plane wreckage of the American or British production. Place the collapse of a region about 15 km north of Pieniężno (Poland). It was shot down by Luftwaffe plane
The first hypothesis: according to witness, it was B17, whose were taken to mills (those 50 years.) The witness remembered that the plane had 4 engines and a large white star on the wing.

Propably they were planes that have made the bombing of Gdynia, Gdansk, Malbork
