Well you lost me on this one Franck. What is Meltem? And who is Bertrand? Riddles.

Is that last Bf-109 E belonging to the Gruppenkommandeur of III./JG 54? But in Crete.......??

"Meltem" is the name of local wind in Agea, in Greece in general. It starts to blow at 10h, being at its best at 16h. Waves are typical, they burst ashore since there is no "plateau continental".... Coming from North-Northeast. Could be very rough. But maybe it's not Meltem in this case; just a message of empathie!.. 'Cause sometimes these little planes are boring!
Bertrand: AKA BH he knows which picture I'm talking about...
OK. III./JG 54?... I've been deceived one more time with this emblem, I saw a III./JG 27 one...
If it's III./JG 54 emblem in Greece then it's a plane borrowed by JG 77; is it possible?

I think I'm not very good those days... I'm hearing voices saying "as usual"... Forgive me mates.

Well you have added to my metrological education. Cretian wind is called Meltem.....

I seriously thought of III./JG 27 but the background looks a little too dark.....but III./JG54 didn't take part in the Cretian Campaign, or did they?

OK so who is Bertrand??? BH ??? More riddles.

Aaaah, here is the picture I was thinking, and talking, about; it was in "left-to-be-named" file; 14/11/2009 dated. Old eBay auction.
Caption was saying "Pas-de-Calais"!!!
Bertrand did send me a mail saying "Waoh waoh... with this mountains in the background?". Which mail I answered "Hmmm... with gravel beach too!".
Hence we left it in the shoe box waiting for further "publication".

Now, today, it's captionned, Kreta... Seems better, and we have a better view of the emblem.
So is it III./JG 54 or III./JG 27?? who takes?
