Need help with old Air-Fan (France) Issues with Luft pilot bios.

Hello,

Just got done processing the Frappé account of the career of Uffz. Josef "Jupp" Keil of 8./JG3. I now understand that there are also past issues of this publication (Air Fan) with stories of Helmut Wick (I have the books on him), and Wolfgang Ewald GrKdr of I./JG52. Apparently there is also a two-part article about Eric Rudorffer in Air Fan 344 & 345,(7 & 8/2007). Anybody able to retrieve these articles and forward scans of them to me? Even better would be good English translations of these in the event that someone has already done this.

I'm looking for other bios, memoirs, diaries in the press (including WW II) of Luftwaffe personnel, their operations and experiences, for the 1939-40 period in French, Dutch, Flemish, Norwegian, German, Italian or Polish-language sources. This includes Luftwaffe personnel involved in all aspects of the air war. If anyone has copies of same, knows about sources for these, or perhaps even has translations of some of this material, I'd sure appreciate being contacted about this.

Regards,

In the " Der Adler" magazine there are a few memoirs of Molders and Wick like this here on LEMB. ( there are more artikels to be found in Der Adler) Blatant propaganda but perhaps interesting just the same

Re: Need help with old Air-Fan (France) Issues with Luft pilot bios.

Hello,

In response to my request, I have just received scans of these four articles:

Avions #64 July 1998, the bio of Herbert Ihlefeld of I.(J)/LG2 by Pierre Martin
Avions #88 July 2000 the bio of Heinz Lange by H-W Neulen of 1.G21 - 8./JG54
Avions #124 July 2003, the bio of Helmut Wick of Stab. I & Stab/JG2 by Christophe Cony
Avions #137 August 2004, the bio of Günther Seeger of I./JG2 by Erich Mombeek

These articles are in French. Has anyone, by chance, done a translation of any of these into English that they would be willing to share with the EOE WG?

Still looking for other such articles in any publications.

Thanx for your continuing help and support,
