Data & Identification Plates

Hi,

Collector wishes to buy and trade data and identification plates from Luftwaffe airplanes.

All types of plates, especially airframe plates that identify airplane, builder, date and/or werk number, are of interest.

I am also interested in conversing and sharing information, photos with other collectors.

Thank you,
Steve

Re: Data & Identification Plates

Hi Steve,

I would appreciate your thoughts on the attached. What is the R785 reference and are you able to advise which part of the Do17Z's airframe this plate may have been taken from ? I understand that the 02 number will determine this.

Kind regards

Nick

Re: Data & Identification Plates

Hi Nick,

Thank you for contacting me. As I posted on the main forum, what you have here appears to be a parts plate from a Do17Z; these turn up fairly often. I do not see signs of an airplane W.Nr. that may allow the airplane this plate came from to be identified. Do you know any of the history behind this plate? The corrosion suggests in ground exposure.

Thank you,
Steve
