Uffz Hengsbach, 1/NJG-5 (5/44), 2/NJG-5 (6/44)
Hello
I am seeking photographs or information (birthdate, birthplace etc) on Uffz (Ofw) Hengsbach, a pilot of the 1/NJG-5 (5/44) and 2/NJG-5 (6/44) One known victory, a "4 mot" in the Caumont L'Events area on 4 May, 1944. A 2nd, a "4 mot" at Trappes on 8 June, 1944. A Lancaster at Rolampont on 13 July, 1944. A 4th, a Lancaster SE of Danzig the night of 18-19 December, 1944 I am researching Lancaster I NG144/G from the 207 Squadron, RAF (Spilsby, Lincolnshire - 5 Group) which took off at 1700 and brought down off the coast of Poland, crashing into the sea 100 metres off Holzkathen (now Smoldzínski Las), 33km NE of Stolp (Slupsk), at 2230 18th Dec 1944 Thankyou Peter |
