operations of I and II/KG40 june 1944
Hello,
can someone tell me from which airfield 1 and 2/KG40 operate against Normandy landings in june 1944 ; Orléans/Bricy, Toulouse/Blagnac or Bordeaux/Mérignac ; it seems they were based on 6 june at Blagnac but all POW in K Reports speak of take-offs from Bordeaux ? can someone tell me if II/KG40, who operated from Bordeaux/Merignac for nights of 6 to 7 and 7 to 8 june, was then withdrawn to Toulouse ?
