Group Captain Billy Drake DSO, DFC*
Just heard today that Gp/Cpt Billy Drake died on Sunday 28th August at the grand old age of 93.
A true gentlemen and a sad loss.

Oh dear......I met him several years ago, and while asking him for an autograph, he threatened to take off with my fountain pen...he liked it so much....
A wonderful man and an exceptional aviator....another one gone....they're dropping like flies now....very sad.
