Hi,
can someone please identify the unit, this pilot of a Me110 belonged to? (probably a ZG unit) - pilot: Peter Habicht, - radio operator: ? Downed on/or around/ 11 January 1944 (?), date of crash ? location of crash ? WIA/KIA ? plane markings ? greetings, digedag 1 |

1944-01-11, Stab Erg.Zerst.Gr., Bf 110, 3 km nordwestlich Ottleben bei Magdeburg, Luftkampf. Bruch 100 %.

- Any photos of this men published in aviation literatur? - Which airfield was their base that day? - Are there additional losses for that unit on this day? |

According to book "Die Flugzeugführer-Ausbildung der Deutschen Luftwaffe 1935-1945" Stab Erg.Zerst.Gr. was 01.09.1943 - 02.03.1944 located at Fl.Pl. Braunschweig-Broitzem.
In my databse no other losses. Matti |

Hi
Habicht had been around a while. He was the Staffelkapitan of 11./ZG26 in 1941. Staffelkapitan of 10./Zg26 from 27th August 1942 until 17th September 1943 when he became the Kommandeur of erg(Z)./Grp.210, a position he held until his death. Two known claims:- 22nd February 1942 as Oblt B-17 region of Malta 1442 hrs at 6500 metres altitude. 25th October 1942 as Hptm Beaufighter 1115 hrs 20 metres altitude Regards Johannes |
