Looking for photos of two recon Ju88s down during the Battle of Britain
Hello,
I'm looking for photo images for profile work for two Recon Ju88s downed during the Battle of Britain:
1) Ju88A-1 of 4.(F)/121, 7A+FM, down intact near Cambridge on 19.9.40. I know of one photo of this taken at the RAE, showing only the nose area from above, including the "Owl on a red pencil" unit emblem. However, I know that others were taken, including at least one showing the aircraft at RAF Oakington being readied for transportation to RAE Farnborough. There also may be at least one photo of this a/c taken "in situ." Very likely other photos also exist of this one at the RAE.
2) Ju88A-5 of 3.(F)/123, 4U+RL, crashed on beach near Porlock, Sumerset, on 27.9.40. The a/c apparently was partly underwater depending on the tide. Does anyone know anything about photography on this one? The "R" is reported to be yellow. No indication that it carried any unit emblem. I think it likely that several photos exist of this one.
Thanx for any help that you can provide.
Regards,
Larry
