Uffz. Alfred Abel + 02.01.1943 Help needed please

Hi to all,

Can anyone supply any further information regarding the loss of Uffz. Alfred Abel who was a gunner in a Kampfgeschwader killed on the 02.01.1943. I Have a copy of his death card which I hope to use in his page of remembrance.

Regards

Melvin

There is a photo of the decorated rudder of this machine in the old Ries 'Rudder Markings' book, though from earlier service with II./KG 53 in May-42 per Ries.

This He111 used to be flown by RKT Waldemar Teige. The markings are representing his kills.
